Overview

On April 2, 2010, the Court granted final approval of a $10 million settlement in the class action lawsuit which accused Pilgrim’s Pride of failing to pay overtime to over 8,000 employees in 11 states in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The settlement reflects approximately 85% of the back pay that the plaintiffs sought.
