Theodore J. Leopold has been selected for inclusion in The National Law Journal’s 2018 “Energy and Environmental Trailblazer” List. The NLJ editorial team selected 25 honorees from hundreds of nominations, singling out those who have “shown a deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their mission” and “have achieved remarkable success along the way.”
The lis highlights Mr. Leopold’s role as lead trial counsel in Quinteros, et al. v. DynCorp, et al., a cross-border mass tort claim alleging that DynCorp, a U.S. government contractor, illegally sprayed herbicide over the Colombian-Ecuadorian border. Mr. Leopold’s profile also touts his appointment as interim co-lead counsel in In re Flint Water Cases, a consolidated class action filed in the Eastern District of Michigan on behalf of the residents and businesses of Flint, Michigan harmed by exposure to toxic levels of lead and other hazards in the city’s drinking water, and in Carey, et al., v. DuPont, et al., a consolidated toxic tort class action complaint against E.I. DuPont de Nemours Company and its former wholly-owned subsidiary, The Chemours Company in the Eastern District of North Carolina.
