The National Law Journal and Law.com named Robert A. Braun and Eric A. Kafka winners of its 2024 Elite Trial Lawyers Rising Stars award.
The award recognizes plaintiffs lawyers under the age of 40 who have achieved outstanding results in high-stakes litigation in the past year and over the course of their careers.
- Eric Kafka, a partner in Cohen Milstein’s Consumer Protection practice, is litigating some of the country’s most cutting-edge consumer protection class actions against industry giants like Meta Platforms, Reckitt Benckiser, Luxottica (Lenscrafters), and Siemens. He is court-appointed lead/co-lead counsel in two of these cases, and he is widely respected for his leadership role with experts, particularly on consumer class certification, economic damages, computer source code, and chemistry.
- Robby Braun, a partner in Cohen Milstein’s Antitrust practice, focuses on industry-changing antitrust class action litigation on behalf of individuals and businesses harmed by price-fixing and other illegal corporate behavior. Robby also serves as the firm’s ethics partner. Respected for his analysis of legal and economic issues and creativity, Robby helps lead Moehrl v. National Association of Realtors (NAR) (N.D. Ill.) and Umpa v. NAR (W.D. Mo.), groundbreaking antirust class actions, addressing anticompetitive behavior in the real estate industry.
