About our Rising Stars
Eric A. Kafka, a partner in our Consumer Protection practice, is litigating – and winning – some of the country’s most cutting-edge consumer protection class actions against industry giants, such as Meta Platforms, Reckitt Benckiser, Luxottica (Lenscrafters), and Siemens. He is also court-appointed lead/co-lead counsel in two of these cases, a role typically reserved for more senior partners. Eric is also widely respected in the plaintiffs’ bar for his leadership role with experts, particularly on consumer class certification, and other issues, including economic damages, computer source code, and chemistry.
In March, Law360 appointed Eric to its Editorial Advisory Board for Consumer Protection.
Robert A. Braun, a partner in our Antitrust practice, focuses on cutting-edge, industry-changing antitrust class action litigation on behalf of individuals and businesses harmed by price-fixing and other illegal corporate behavior. Robby also serves as the firm’s ethics partner.
Respected for his astute analysis of legal and economic issues and creativity, Robby helps lead two groundbreaking antirust class actions in the residential real estate industry, alleging that the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and the largest real estate brokerages adopted anticompetitive rules requiring home sellers to pay home buyer broker fees – at an inflated rate – in addition to their own brokers’ commissions. In March, a certified nationwide class of home sellers agreed to settle claims with the NAR for $418 million along with sweeping industry reforms. Thus far, pending court approval, settlements total more than $952.5 million.
