The National Law Journal and Law.com named Agnieszka Fryszman a winner of its 2024 Elite Trial Lawyers Lifetime Achievement award.
The award recognizes plaintiffs’ lawyers who have consistently achieved outstanding results in high-stakes litigation in the past year and over the course of their careers.
Agnieszka Fryszman, chair of Cohen Milstein’s Human Rights practice, has built a practice recognized as one of the best private international human rights practices in the world.
Over her 28-year career, she has successfully litigated high profile cases against corporate giants and foreign powers. She has been involved in landmark cases regarding Holocaust-era forced and slave labor, Swiss banks, human trafficking by government contractors, fishing boat slavery, comfort women, the victims of 9/11, and Guantanamo Bay detainees. In case after case, she has succeeded in obtaining life changing compensation for survivors of human rights abuses.
On May 15, 2023, after 22 years of litigation, Agnieszka helped eleven Indonesian citizens finally realize justice against ExxonMobil Corporation, settling a high-profile human rights lawsuit one week before a long-anticipated jury trial was scheduled to begin.
